I've tried several different scanners. (both reg cleaners and anti-virus), but, either they won't install, (gives me a no permission to installation file), or scans, and when in the middle of scan, disappears. When I try to start it again,gives me an error again for no permission or wrong parameters. My system is loaded with trojans (I think 6 of them) including 2 rogue i think, and my registry has over 350 errors. (that's as far as the scan went before it disappeared, and it hadn't even gotten through it all). I don't know how to get rid of these. I've dl'd the kaspersky anti virus, and am now getting the error that i don't have permission and to contact customer service. I've been waiting for over an hour and a half for a customer service person from kaspersky. Also. whenever I do a google search, I click on the link and it takes me to something totally different (a different screen says you are being redirected). Please help? I'm using windows vista 32

anti virus and reg clean scans won't complete
(13 posts)Hi blessusthree, use this to get all your data off the the disk (to an external drive) , and then reformat and reinstall your operating system,
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto.....-computer/
Try this.
You need to download MBAM Malwarebytes Antimalware but as you cannot get on any security site to download it I’ve uploaded it the my file sharing site so you can download it .
I’ve also renamed it rabbits foot.exe so it will install. {unzip first}
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=S8BWYZCE
Install MBAM {rabbits foot.exe and update it,
Then do a quick scan,
If it will not run after the install then do this,
Go to the MBAM program folder here
C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware {double click the folder}
rename mbam.exe to rabbits foot.exe
double click on rabbits foot.exe to start MBAM.
scan.. remove detected items...once clear you can rename the executable file back to mbam.exe
I've tried to scan with the one that you suggested, (I had it already). It wouldn't let me scan, disappeared as soon as it installed. I tried the kaspersky instant scan, it found a virus and instantly disappeared before it could finish and before i could do anything about it. I don't want to have to lose things I have on here that can't be saved in data format. I have ayear's worth of pics on here including of my son in the Marines, and my 5 year old. I can't replace them. I also ave other htings on here that can't be saved in data format. I've thought about having to reformat and reinstall. (I have a special part of my harddrive that has the reinstall or recover on it. I never got an installation disk from HP, they told me I didn't need it because it's on my harddrive. I was hoping to resolve this without having to redo all that, and reinstall windows reformat.
Try booting into safe mode then rename it,
Restart the computer / will MBAM scan now
SAFE MODE
Reboot into SAFE MODE
1/Click Start and then click Turn Off Computer.
2/In the Turn Off Windows dialog box, click Restart, and then click OK.
3/As your computer restarts but before Windows launches, press F8 repeatedly.
4/Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode, and then press ENTER.
5/If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot system, choose the installation that you need to access using the arrow keys, and then press ENTER.
Note: If Windows launches before you can choose a safe mode, restart your computer and try again
PS/ Sometimes it maybe the F5 key
Your computer seems so heavily infected, it's likely that a malware removal routine (if even successful) will consume more time and produce more headaches than a fresh reinstall . . . which is why LH suggested to do that, and also to save your files (malware removal routines can erase all your files, just as a reinstall would anyway).
You said you tried "several scanners", including "reg cleaners". Where did you get these things, and what were the titles? "Scanners", and "reg cleaners" in particular, are notorious for being "rogues". "Rogues" are fakes that often mimic legitimate titles, identify malware (bogus detections), and then tell you they'll remove these bogus detections if you BUY their product (aka "scareware", because it displays all these false positives and "scares" you by saying, FALSELY, that your machine is corrupted).
You said that one scanner showed that you had "350" registry errors. If that's trivial errors, like pointing to missing help files, that's probably not threatening. But if they're listed as "serious" errors (that would be "scareware"), your machine wouldn't even boot if you had 350 serious registry errors.
My suspicion is that when you downloaded one of these rogues, you also downloaded some malware with it (and that malware may have very well deposited OTHER infections on your machine).
Bottom line, as I said, your machine is likely so infected that even a malware routine may likely not remove all of it. The only way to be absolutely sure that all malware is gone is to do a clean install.
Save yourself time and headaches, and just do a clean install and be done with it (save all your valuable data FIRST, using LH's method).
And when you're done with that clean install, make yourself a clone or an image so you never have to go through these headaches again if you get infected.
And while I'm at it, stay away from "scanners" like those "free" ones listed on Google. They are frequently rogues. (There are indeed some legitimate "free" scanners, but ask about them on a place like this BEFORE you download them).
