Also another thing to look at is your startup programs. There are many that autostart but really not required because you can invoke them when required.
Open cmd and click 'run as administrator'
At the prompt type msconfig
Click the startup tab and see what is running and post a screenshot here.
Perhaps we can 'deter' the unneeded stuff to run for you.
