Check that DWM is running
press Win+R
type in "services.msc" (without the quotes) press Enter
look down the list for "Desktop Window Manager Session Manager"
It should say "Started" and "Automatic"
Does it?

Well I guess I'll just give up...Iv'e read so many posts and well nothin seems to get me anywhere. I did however just install my new video card yesterday the Nvidia 8800 GT OC but it actually was made for windows vista my last card was not, and every now and then my drivers would stop responding then kick back on again for my old card. To be honest I hadn't used the aero for a copuple of weeks so im not sure what could've cased this, and I guess it isn't to big of a deal I just like to know why things break/stop working and how to fix them.

Well, maybe you need a fresh install of vista, then see if aero will work :-)
