I recently aquired an adaware called AdVantage by downloading a program called daemon Tools and I would like to remove this from my laptop hppavillion dv6000. I have instructions on how to remove it from XP but not vista if you could give me some advice I sure would appreciate it.

You can try this freeware: http://www.revouninstaller.com/

It removes registry traces of the program you want deleted.
Be careful, of course.

How often do you use System Restore anyway?

I do not use as far as I know it is just a default program as far as I know that came with the lap top. I will try that and if I can not do I will just take it to best buy where I bought it and pay them to take it off. but I do thank you.

Ah, I misread your question.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daemon_Tools

"In latest versions Daemon Tools uses a rootkit technology to hide from other applications and operating system itself. It often leads to false reports by antivirus or anti-rootkit software."

That page also says "Version 3.47 is Adware-free, while later versions are not.[1]"
