I am not sure what the problem is. The date should show underneath the clock.

As whs says, hovering the mouse on the time shows the clock with date and time and calendar.BUTTTT
Maybe you are referring to this or similar article,

If this is for W7, please advise, as the instructions for XP are what Drizzle linked to you.
If my earlier instructions weren't complete for W7, post, and I'll do my best to stretch 'em out.
