How do you use ActiveX controls in Firefox 3? I have attempted to download templates etc from the Microsoft site while using Firefox but receive a message that the ActiveX control cannot be downloaded. My response has been to go back to IE7 and use it to download.

Catknox, you are doing the right thing. The folks at Mozilla don't support ActiveX because it is not an open Web standard and is a security risk. Either switch to IE7 or install an add-on such as IETab which will render pages in a Firefox tab using the IE7 engine. Here's Mozilla's take on ActiveX and Firefox:
