has anybody got an opinion about a-squared anti virus? (3.5 ideally) I use avg + spybot. would they be happy together?

Ah. You saw it free as well. I used to use it about a year ago, but it caused too many conflicts. It could be OK now.

I would be wary of using it with AVG tho'
If you are going to try it out. Make sure you create a good restore point first.

ive used a-squared free for a few years. it doesn't run in real time which is better because it doesn't gum up your computer. it has over a million definitions. i use it to back up eset smart security. it's the only free security program i would use. it also deletes infections, instead of quarantining them. it scans slow but it's thorough. the scans won't slow your computer down, either.

looks like giveawayoftheday has been offering some fairly decent programs. i haven't been there since last year, i'll put this on my notebook

Been using it for 24 hrs now. Very very very good. No conflicts with avg. The scan revealed 18 nasties which superantispyware missed. Ugly interface though. And its real time too.
