A brief history of time zones
(16 posts)Funny you should say that. My old Sony Clock/Alarm/Radio, that is by my bedside, has provision for a 9V battery. That keeps the time correct during a power cut. I don't have a battery in there, because if I wake up and see the display flashing, I can calculate how long the power was off. Then have to go round the house checking various things, and resetting the many timers we have on different things.
