Every time I log off and relog on, or when I do a restart/shutdown, I get the screen that the "32 Bit Scanner has stopped". Vista tells me that its a McAfee problem, but I don't have McAfee on this computer. Instead I use Sophos Anti Virus. Is there any way I can kill this irritating problem? I don't have this issue on my XP computer.

What I'd do is shut down the sophos software completely and then see if the problem happens.

There's a good chance it's not fully compatible with Vista, or you are running the 64-bit version of Vista and the software isn't compatible with that.

Check with the manufacturer.

Nope. That didn't work. I've run regedit looking for the program "scan32.exe", as well as looking for Mcafee, but to no avail. Any other ideas?
