DPGraph

Dynamic Photorealistic 3D Graphing Software for Math and Physics Visualization. Pure hardcore Science and psychedelic animated gifs from 1997—could you want any more than this?

My first internet connection was AOL and then LineOne. Yikes it was slow.
AOL was awful and ripped my CC for £5.85 a month for 2 years even after cancelling within 2 days because of appalling connection. I did get a refund eventually.

LineOne was pretty good given the tech at the time. This became Tiscali and now is served by TalkTalk but is run on the BT Network anyway. AGGGHHHHH
(it gets worse)

When I moved a couple of miles into the hinterland I signed up what was then Windsor Telecom, the first fibre optic network on the back of cable tv.
The 'router' was part of the STB and got speeds of 258kbs minimum against 33kbs available on twisted pair. Windsor Telecom put down the first cable network before British Telecom for public use.

BT (old GPO) did invest in optical but only for Government
Windsor Telecom became Telewest then became Virgin Media, the biggest robbers when it come to pricing.

My beef for the day...
