i know this is as old as windows 7, BUT, how is AeroPeek COMPLETELY REMOVED from the system? done everything at this end. thank you to whoever let's out the secret>

thank you for your rapid response, warlock. downloaded the disable aero reg. file but when clicking on "run", all it does is show up in notepad. where to go
from there? thanks again

Right click taskbar, click properties, check this option that's unchecked by default ---> “Use Peek to preview the desktop when you move your mouse to the Show desktop button at the end of the taskbar”. Press OK. Voila. Peek is back.

EDIT: My bad, please ignore. Thought you were referring to lack of peek in Windows 8.

@redtop, was away for awhile I see what file you mean. Use one of the other options.

did all of the above. however, after downloading the registry file, it worked for a while. but, on re-start, the desktop was back to it's out of the box appearance;
all my icons had been replaced by default ones, and no desktop pics. had to use system restore to bring it back. ever hear of that one? thanks again
