That's a crossfire only board so you will need to use ATI cards on it. Any board that is based on an AMD chipset will be crossfire only, and until the Intel X59 chipset is released, there are no boards that support either SLI or crossfire, they are all one or the other.

Thanks a ton Budohorseman.
Yeah I thought as much (the pdf for memo compatibility) but wanted to be sure.
Also the mobo can be used for SLI/Crossfire...would I be able to use a GS8500 or do I have to use a radeon ATI
card for the SLI/Crossfire to work?

DDR2 is the memory standard, while the number portion 800, 1066, etc, is the maximum data transfer rate. By using the DDR2-800 memory, you are just using memory that is slower than the fastest memory the motherboard can support. And as an FYI, the pdf that you have linked above has 1066, 800, and 667 memory modules listed that have been tested by gigabyte for that board.

Hi,
I am on the verge of getting this mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128352
and I saw that it uses DDR2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DDR2_SDRAM 1066 memory.
Can I use DDR2 800 as well on it? (I won't be over clocking http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overclocking for now..but might later)
Here is the link which provides the link to the memory compatibility list-
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/FileList/MemorySupport/motherboard_memory_ga-ma790gp-ds4h.pdf
I wanted to run this by y'll before I purchase them.
