The file contains the files that you need to slipstreamed in just like if you had a floppy. When you right click on the file, you can EXTRACT the files to a folder. Once you have made your Sliptream and installed XP, then we will install the FULL chipset driver. Post Back. Do some research for me please. What Intel Chipset is in your particular model Laptop ?? Once you have that, then its just a matter of extracting the right TXT and Chipset file from the zip collection. I can probably tell by looking at or into the files if I know your Chipset. You are going to re-make and burn a new slipstream but that's simple. Just use the All folders and leave the files alone, lest you delete a file that is needed. I downloaded the chipset drivers from here; <a href='http://www.ocztechnology.com/drivers/DIY_driver_XP/'>http://www.ocztechnology.com/drivers/DIY_driver_XP/</a> obviously i downloaded the one labeled chipset, unzipped the files and there are two major folders, one labeled ALL and one labeled VIsta. I'm assuming the folder that was labeled ALL has both XP and Vista drivers inside. To tell you the truth, I don't know why there is a Vista folder in here because if you go to the link (<a href='http://www.ocztechnology.com/drivers/DIY_driver_XP/'>http://www.ocztechnology.com/drivers/DIY_driver_XP/</a>), there should ONLY be XP dirvers in the list. So in the guide it mentions; "Just be careful not to select a 64-bit driver if you are using 32-bit, or the wrong OS version. " So i need to figure out which files are XP only and Vista only. I compared both folders and deleted the drivers in the ALL folder that matched the drivers in the VISTA folder and just selected the rest of the files that were left. Burned the CD fine Booted from CD and still get the no hard drive found error message. Thanks in advance for your help. I can't believe it's this hard to install XP.
