jmcguire, Answering your question: I use the IE most, but also Opera and AOL (which has helped me out many times when the others did not work). Have used FF a while ago, but did not like it.

Looks like Google has already changed the language in the EULA to address the concerns:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10031703-56.html

EDIT: however, Google will save information typed into the OmniBox if you let them:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10032047-56.html

@whs
Just exactly what web browsers do you have?

I was somewhat impressed by Google Chrome. It is very simple, which is not a bad thing, but there are certain Firefox add-ons that I have to install every time I install Firefox on a new computer.

So what exactly in the EULA is causing the major problem? I read the EULA but because I wasn't planning on doing anything other than see how Chrome ran, I didn't go over with with a fine-toothed comb.

I expect this EULA to be sorted out soon - if by nothing else than the European Union watchdogs. But like with any new stuff, I would wait until the edges got smoothed.

I like it so far. I miss all of my FF plug ins, but hopefully they will come in time. It's definitely not ready to be my only browser. I love the way it launches almost instantly and pages seem to load a lot faster.

Pros: speed and tabbed sandbox
Cons: lack of configurability, memory usage, no bookmark sidebar, etc. Too many to list.

Next to Google Sidebar, this is the least impressive app Ive seen them deliver. Yes, I'll be patient, no I won't even bother to keep it.

Uh oh. Looks like OzSpitt has been assimilated by the Borg Collective. I suppose that resistance was futile. :-)

I can't remember who, but some guy on TV said that if the NSA wanted to monitor the information of the American people, they would have invented Google. Or words to that effect. Of course, there are conspiracy nuts out there who believe this is what happened, or that the two are in cahoots now. Yes, Alex Jones, I'm talking to you!

Of course, there are still folks that believe the moon landing was faked -- did anyone see the recent Mythbusters episode? I would like to have the Mythbusters investigate whether Google has supplanted Microsoft as the IT company striving for world dominance. I'm just afraid that they would be "disappeared".
