misdaroc,

May be this will help ALL out.

Nothing says you can't have more than one Registry Cleaner on your system.

As matter of fact, I use (4) plus have manual programs for cleaning.

I would advise that you keep and use the one you have PLUS do as Lighthouse Advises and use another also.

Does this solution fit your needs ??

Kindest Regards,
Rick P. ♥ :)

@LH,

Yes I understand.
Was just discussing the reasoning why some cleaners appear better than others. That's all.

@LH,
(ALL) Registry Cleaners, track record or no track record, leave (miss) bad registry entries believe The Sage. If one runs a "track Record" Registry Cleaner, I'll bet you a bottle of your favorite wine I can find at least +300 bad registry entries after the "track record" cleaner shows none.
"Bad" meaning not needed, orphaned, references to missing not needed files, CLSIDs that point to know where, etc.

There is a good reason for this.

NO company or individual wants to code a product that is so aggressive in cleaning that it could make a huge mistake using automation.

The First Rule Of Registry Cleaning is "DO NO HARM" so that means be very Conservative in the cleaning process.
If an entry is doubtful, do nothing.
Kindest Regards,
Rick P. ♥ :) :)

In that case, I would un-install it. And put on something that has a track record.

misdaroc,

If it's already on the machine, then use it and don't try to Un-install it.

Un-installing the propram will just leave many more "dead entires" in the registry which would have to be removed manually with another program.

Kindest Regards,

Yes. CCleaner is probably the safest. I also have total confidence in RegSeeker, and, if you want to pay, Registry Mechanic.
