Do the steps at http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/help-troubleshoot-the-blue-screen-of-death-by-preventing-automatic-reboot/ and a Blue Screen Error should appear instead of an automatic reboot. When that happens post the error message and file name if displayed.

I'm having difficulties understanding you, but from what i can gather, my best suggestion would be to get hold of an AV program that can be booted from a cd. Norton antivirus allows you to put it in the cd drive, boot the computer and run a virus scan without windows.
If this doesnt work for you or the scan comes back clean, you may have to re-install your operating system. Either way, i would start backing up essential files.

Hello,
I am having an annoying problem. My computer restarts itself. The last time it happened was this morning whwn I was doing some listens on My Space Karaoke site. I have Optimum Online Triple play with offers free CA security which is what I have, but when I run the virus scan, before it is over my computer restarts itself even if I run it in safe mode. I disable the auto restart on system failure but it still restarts itself at times. Like when I am looking at a You Tube type video or on my karaoke sites. I have Windows XP Home Edition. Can someone help me please? Thank you in advance.
