i too do not see anything wrong with any of the hard ware you have chosen. it should work quite well for your needs.

i too do winder how much cooling this is going to have. that CPU will get nice a hot without a good cooler.

looks good i think that others may have some suggestions for you but i think it looks fine from what i see though :)

but have you thought about any cooling you may run into heat problems if it is not cooled enough

Hi all,
Building my first desktop and want to keep the budget between 700-800 dollars. I need a basic gaming pc (for mostly mmos, have a ps3 for other games). I'm going to hook it up to a 24inch widescreen LCD monitor( not included in the budget). I've done some research and this is what I have so far..

Motherboard: ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail : $140

Processor:Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80570E8500 - Retail :$190

GPU:EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail $150

Memory:Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model KHX6400D2LLK2/4GR - Retail - $80

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3500630AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM $70

Case:RAIDMAX SMILODON ATX-612WBP Black 1.0mm SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Foldout MB Computer Case With 500W Power Supply - Retail $85

DVD Drive:ASUS 20X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model DRW-2014L1T - Retail $35

TOTAL so far =$760 (ignoring tax and shipping atm)

Firstly, are these part I've chosen so far work well together? Are there any decent upgrades for a little more $$ ?
Also, did I miss anything?
I' trying to get the best possible gaming pc for 700$ (or slightly more). I plan to run vista on the machine.
Any other thoughts suggestions?
