I just installed it on top of Nero 7. It works fine but I still have the problem with Aero changing on its own to windows standard everytime I start Nero. I never got an answer from Nero support on the problem

Quite possibly your video card does not support Aero while running Nero 8. This happened with me, and I upgraded my card.

I upgraded to Nero 8 and I still have the same problem.

I had emailed nero support about the problem a week ago and no reply.

The problem is that the version of Nero you are using isn't compatible with Aero. You should check and see if there are any updates for it.

This is a pretty normal problem for software that's not fully vista compatible.

If this is not a vista related problem I am sorry for posting it but I am thinking it is.

I am running Vista Ultimate which I have just upgraded to from Home Premium. All went well and all was working fine until this.

I run Nero Ultimate 7. When I open Nero Burning ROM my windows appearance changes to the "windows stardard" desktop and appearance from "windows aero" all on its own.

This never happened before I upgraded to Ultimate from Home. I have to go into "windows personalization" then "windows color and appearance" to change the settings back to "windows aero".

Any ideas why Nero is causing this to happen with my Vista Ultimate?
