@mysticgeek, Dig Deeper as I might have mis-read Dell's Statement.

@Jeanie,

It is strange.

Dell left the drivers up for Win 3.1 and Win 3.11 but (specifically) discontinued the the drivers for Win 95, Win 98 and Win ME however then put the drivers up for 2K, XP and Vista. Must have been a MS agreement.

Maybe someone has an old CD or pack of floppys.

Regards,
Rick P.

Jeanie I found the drivers for this printer on HP's site. It looks like you can order a CD too if you need one.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=80055&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=28861&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=181

According to the site ... they no longer support Windows 98 or ME and they recommend to use Windows 2000 drivers for these two OS's ... you can read about that here...

I have a HP Laserjet 2200 Series PCL 5 and I need the install disk to set it up on an older Dell Laptop. They quit making this and I can find no down loads for it. It works fine on my new Vista system but it asks for the install CD on the Dell (running windows 98).I can find the download for the PCL 5n but it does not work. Does anyone have any info or a copy of the CD or disk that I could get.
Thanks for any help.
Jeanie
