OK, I finally got around to finishing this dual booting problem. my xp works great, but now iam having problems logging into vista. It was orginally connected to a network (with vista), but since I installed XP and cant log on with vista and it says it cannnot connect to the domain. I know i need to log in to a different domain and then connect it to my network, but, how do i do that?

Heh. I had that problem with the missing button. I changed my screen resolution and restarted VistaBootPRO and it magically appeared.

Thanks for that advice, I had the same problem with VistaBootPRO and switching to EasyBCD fixed my issues!

steinrod, I used this guide by the same people that made EasyBCD to get my XP working:
http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EBCD/Windows+XP

It has information about the NTLDR error and a fix for it too :)

Well I downloaded EasyBCD 1.7 while in windows xp and restored windows vista. I then restarted my computer and had the boot manager available. It had three choices recovery, vista, and an older version of windows. Vista is the only one working so I booted to that OS. I then got into Easybcd and it showed this for my XP partition I made, Name: earlier version of windows
BCDID: ntlder
Drive: Deleted Partition ....?
Bootloader: \ntldr
Windows directory: none

What am I doing wrong that I cant boot windows Xp. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

What I'd suggest doing is downloading and installing EasyBCD instead. A lot of people have had issues with VistaBootPro for some reason.

I recently read an article on this site on called How to install Windows XP on a pre-installed windows Vista computer. I followed the steps provide and ran into little trouble until working with the Vistabootpro. I can download this without a problem, but when I continue down the list of instructions they state to check "windows vista bootloader" and then "All Drives" radio buttons and then click install bootloader button. Thats where my problem comes in there is NO Install Bootloader button on the screen. In Fact there are buttons that come up on any of the tabs. What is the problem here? I cant seem to find a solution.
