Format will destroy all of the data, while convert will just change the file system. Even so, there is always a risk with running a command such as this, so you should insure that all essential data is backed up before proceeding. Thank for info mate,because yesterday i discover the same trouble like GaardCeteru did. So i;ll try to convert it to NTFS,i hope i;ll help.But i dont really know how to proceed,because in drive properties there is no FORMAT option...Where should i look for it?How do i convert it? Tried uploading it to my iPod but obtained the same results, is there anything I can do to make it fit that does not involve chopping the file into pieces and then rejoining? </p> <p>I really need to move this file to the university's computer for a project and I'll be fryed if I cant move it XP tried with other big files too and got the same result so I dont think it has to do with the file but more with the device. Any advice? </p>
