If malware wanted to make a modification to your registry, spybot would catch it and alert you. In fact it should alert you of any registry change. Else, it is for scanning.<br /> AVG is supposed to work like a security suite. I.e. prevent intrusions. But the free version is so,so. I denied it, of course. Avg, spybot etc (which i use) supply daily updates to download to guard against this kind of stuff-so why was it not blocked silently by these programmes? and comodo..does this have any kind of virus database ? It seems to me that avg and spybot are good at finding and removing mal/spy, but not great at preventing it. </p>
