My wife is the image guru and she loves it. I only need to re size and touch up some wallpapers now and then. I honestly know almost nothing about image editing and have no desire to learn. I leave that all up to her. That pain.net program is perfect for my needs. I used it last night to crop a couple of pics and i was happy. But for what you are trying to do it is probably an overkill. It has far more function than you are looking for and the inherent complexity that comes with it. I use it to make photo overlays and I understand it has similar functions as Photoshop. The best to find out is when you try it. It comes with an extensive on-line documentation.
