<description>&#60;p&#62;in my install it never gets to a point of asking to search for anything.  when it reboots it stays on the black screens  that same damn message every time &#34;detect drives done, no drive found&#34;  then the computer flashes a quick message you can't even read then just reboots on its own.  there is never a time where you can do anything.

<description>&#60;p&#62;This might be the same problem I had this weekend. &#60;a href='http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/vista-reinstall-a-horror-story?replies=7'&#62;http://www.howtogeek.com/forum/topic/vista-reinstall-a-horror-story?replies=7&#60;/a&#62; It's pretty long, but try copying all of your SATA drivers (including cd/dvd drivers) to a USB stick so you can tell Windows where to find them.

<description>&#60;p&#62;I install XP on the hard drive and when the first blue screen is done it goes to reboot the computer but it wont it shows a message &#34;detect drives done, no drive found&#34;  but the drive shows up under SATA 1 in the bios and shows up when installing windows but why does it not get detected when booting up???
