<description>&#60;p&#62;The filters help to suppress noise on the phone from the DSL. They should not have a functional impact on the DSL. Besides, today they often install a central filter at the point where the phone line comes into the house - then there is no need for the little line filters. I think in his case it is a simple wiring problem.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Do you have filters (taps) on every telephony device except the DSL modem one?  I don't know if things have changed, but I have always had to have taps on every telephone, modem, fax, etc. in order to use DSL.
