I had used FastStone Capture v5.3, the last freeware version, but I didn't know that it would capture a whole web page. Any old screen capture will grab the part of a web page that is currently being displayed, but that doesn't give you an image of the entire page when it doesn't fit in your browser window. So, I finally saw the "Scrolling Window" capture option which grabs the entire web page even if it has a scroll bar. I didn't even know that was there! I use it since a long time. I paid $20 for the latest version, but there is an older free version. It does my screenshots and then, of course, you can use it like the snipping tool. Couldn't print at all anymore. So I uninstalled, which also removed my old version, but luckily I still had the installer stored on DVD, so I reinstalled that one and now it's back to normal.
