Which version of WMP? And what is rubbish about it, the quality of the video or the compatibility with different file types? In my personal experience, I have found WMP 11, for example, to be a very capable video player. It does not support a whole lot of Codecs. But once you make the Codecs available, it is fine and it rubs off on the Windows Movie Maker making use of these Codecs too.
