Hi
I did all this http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/ubuntu/change-ubuntu-server-from-dhcp-to-a-static-ip-address/
and it seemed to work. In the hour or so following the IP address changes back (repeatedly) to the DHCP assigned one, all by itself, which does not make sense. Can anyone suggest what I have done wrong? LAMP is installed.
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart changed to the statically defined IP, however it also gives the message:
postconf: fatal: open /etc/postfix/main.cf: No such file or directory
which makes little sense to me.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
