Thing is, this container can contain video streams in different formats, such as H.264 or Sorenson. Without additional filters, Windows Movie Maker will not import this file type. Will the original .avi file not play in Windows Media Player?</p> <p>Can you open the .avi file with Windows Movie Maker? It's always better to use the original video to get the best quality output. I added the video to the storyboard, added "Rotate 90" from Effects, then selected Publish to -&gt; This computer, selected "Best quality playback", then clicked the Publish button.
