Just click the chevron and up pops a menu with all of my desktop icons. Right click on the taskbar &gt; Toolbars &gt; check Quick Launch. This way all the program icons will disappear behind 2 chevrons (&gt;&gt;). If you click the chevrons, the icons with the program names will reappear.<br /> Regarding the sidebar: in All Programs &gt; Accessories you will find it and can start it from there. Then go to the top of the sidebar and click on the + to find the different options (gadgets). Note, there are a lot more on-line (on the bottom right of the sidebar options window).<br /> PS: the sidebar is great.
