on vista, right click on your desk top and go to personalize, on the right it will say connect to projector or external monitor, in xp it should be almost the same way.

There are no programs required, simply locate the port\slot that connects to the TV and buy yourself a cable that fits into that slot\port, unless you already have one. I am pretty sure that almost every laptop would have a slot\port hat connects to your TV.

I have a newer laptop, just maybe a year old and it has an HDMI Slot, older ones may have an S-Video slot. Just search around your laptop until you see the ports, and reply here with what you have.

more than likely you should have a svideo cable on your laptop and your tv, so just connect those two, turn the tv to the right video input, then on your lap top go to connect an external device and search, then wa la, your tv just became a mirror of your laptop screen.

Probably, possibly. Depends what video output sockets you have on your laptop.

Is there anyway that I can hook my laptop up to my TV? I want to be able to watch my movies and videos on my TV. I have an Acer with Windows Vista.
