genki,
---
See if you can download and run the top file on this MS page.
---
Configure the program to check EVERY FILE on the machine PLUS run it in [ Safe Mode ].
http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx
---
If this doesn't work, the machine is pretty well infected from what you say so a Clean Install or Factory Restore would be in order.
---
Need to be more careful concerning what you download and where you surf on the net.
---
Regards and Good Luck,
Rick P.

The thing is that I have always had these programs and had nothing wrong with my computer. At times I would have a virus or something that screws up my computer, but could fix it. Is there any other way like another program to wipe the virus out? :(

genki,
---
With all that "Stuff" on the system, I would personally do a Clean Install or Factory Restore.
A machine should only have one AV and one firewall program.

Hello,
I am having a serious problem where I cannot open or update anything that protects my computer.

The three programs I use to protect my computer:
AVG Free Edition 8.5.375
Adaware Free Edition AE (recently installed)
Spybot Search and Destroy 1.6.2
Hijackthis (When something serious happens)

I typically use AVG Free edition 8.5.375, it is scheduled for automatic updates and scans. So that is fine, I also try to use adaware but it wont update at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled Spybot and when I clicked on the icon on my desktop it would not even open at all. Hijackthis I can't even open as well, so I cannot give the log of what could possibly be the problem. I also tried to update Windows XP and I couldn't even connect to their update site. None of my protection software will open or update is my problem and I really don't wanna have to reinstall Windows XP to fix everything. Help me please!
