Victoria. Hi and welcome. You should really have started your own thread. But anyway,
http://www.filehippo.com/download_spybot_search_destroy/

Edit. I would uninstall Spyware Doctor. It seems to have a few conflicts.

Hi Tom, Very interesting thread! I keep getting this same message every morning. I also thought that it must have been something fake because none of my software finds it. It's definitely something to do with Trend because that's what use. I just downloaded Spyware Doctor. I went to a link for Spybot but Trend wouldn't let me in. Hmmm! Anyway, if this doesn't work I may need to ask you for a safe link of where to get Spybot for "FREE". Thanks!

ScottW-Nothing at all after GRAY Sml.Farther checking came up with '(0) record(s) match your query.I updated MB (thank LH) and ran that and got nothing found. Any way of getting this to stop popping up (easily I mean) or will this just be an annoyance (like my in-laws where)! It does say the incidence occurred while using download manager.

Bartman-Strange behavior-Trend has started acting up if started from the short cut.Fine when run from the main menu. This started about the same time as I started getting the message.I'm going to delete the short cut and then reinstall it and see what happens. The answer can't be that easy. Tom :-/

Tom, GRAY_SML is a virus or threat name that Trend Micro uses. Here is an example from their Threat Encyclopedia. You should check the log file for more details, such as the full threat name and the file, registry entry, or whatever-it-is that is infected.

GRAY may refer to grayware, SML to spyware/malware/logger, and the rest is either a unique identifier or a heuristics code.

No, don't think so. As you said might be a false alarm. Don't know how to advise about warning message, though.
Any strange behavior with your computer?

Keep getting this warning from my Trend Micro PC-cillin program about GRAY Sml and what I want to do with it.I keep setting 'Always Delete',but it comes back. Can't find any GRAY file on my comp. so I'm assuming it's a false read.If so, how do I get the darn thing to stop popping up? This just started and i can't think of anything I downloaded except an update from MS and some Ebay stuff.
