I don't think if there is BIOS updates build into my machine. I have visited the manufacturer website and posted the problem, I have also asked if there is any available updates that could solve or otherwise they should give me other options.

My computer is just turning on and working fine now without double beef sound and no other BIOS screen, this stop after leaved it on for some hours, which let me guessed this way "it might be, because the computer hasn't been turn on for a week" power supply shortage. I am now leaving it on for more than 24 hours to recharge the battery, but I am still looking ahead on what to do to prevent another failure in case I go for a holiday again.

Thanks so much

Regards
Chol

Chol,
---
DO NOT BUY ANY BIOS UPDATES !!!!
---
If your machine has a Bios Update, it will be posted under the Driver Download Section Page for Your Machine Model.
---
Sometimes, there are NO Bios Updates for Pre-built desktop and laptop machines.

Chol,
---
Normal order is to get Hardware [ Battery in this case ] running correctly first and then get Software running properly.
---
A Bios Update Flash will NOT fix the problem by itself as the machine ran fine until the battery wore out.

Hi raphoenix,

Probably, the solution will be running BIOS updates and replacing CMOS battery.
this is what it does exactly, changing date and time. click on that link to see.
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000239.htm

Can I run update first? if updates don't fix it, I may consider get a new CMOS Battery.

Thanks

Possibly a memory error. Try taking out the memory modules, and putting them back in, in a different order.

I have been away for seven (7) days and nobody has turn on or used my computer, when I came back, I turn it on I got ACER white screen that show the two options of pressing F1 for continue and DEL key to enter setup. After that screen, it took me to another black screen that had shown me details about my PC BIOS.

The following texts written in red where displayed on that screen:

Phoenix – AwardBIOS v6-00pg, an Energy star Ally
Copyright (c) 1984-2007, phoenix technologies, LTD

This BIOS is exclusively for ACER only (Ro1-A3)
Anyway I have to give you what I have got on the screen to let you find out the main cause.

Main processor: AMD Athlon (tm) 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 4000+
Memory testing: 1835008k OK +256m shared memory

IDE Channel 0 master = NONE
IDE channel 0 slave = NONE

IDE Channel 2 master = ST3160815AS 3.AAE
IDE Channel 2 slave = NONE
IDE Channel 3 Master = Optiarc DVD RW AD-7170S 1-01
IDE Channel 3 Slave = NONE

CMOS checksum – defaults loaded

If you know something need to be setup on the above in order taking me into wrong wizard and stop double beef sound, please help

At the bottom here

•Press F1 to continue, DEL to enter setup
•10/10/07-RS690-SB600-64669FK8C-00

At the first time, I press “F1” to continue, I got an error warning message which asked me to reinstall something, but I don’t noe which one. This warning message has not come back for second time when I want it.

When I log on, I still get that screen although it now working normal (OK) like it wasn’t before.
I am stills getting double beef sound and that sound meant according to this article or power on self test. There is something wrong with MEMORY, but I am still can’t find the way to fix it. http://www.poweronselftest.com/

your experiences would be appreciate

Thanks
