Do you mean get around the fact that you can only install Leopard on machines with 867 MHz or faster?

It's actually very simple to get around. You just need to boot the computer using "Open Firmware" and type in a couple commands.

You could also just download a program called Leopard Assist and it automates it for you!

Here is a link to the program: http://mac.profusehost.net/leopardassist/

Hope that helps!

Jack,

Whew !
Thanks !
That takes a load off my mind.
Was thinking about putting out yard signs (you know like those campaign signs you saw during our past election) but believe your front door solution is much better.
Will buy some plywood and paint first thing in the morning.
By far, violation of Eula's is the most serious issue facing mankind.
Kindest Regards,
Since I don't have a case but just run all my H/W laying out on the floor, will a Bumper Sticker or Body Tattoo count in meeting the Eula requirements ????

i have been reading a bit on this lately and it seems as though if you buy the OS and install on your hardware it is legal as long as you have some apple logo on it. like if you put a apple sticker on your case or something like that

can you force and upgrade like if i have a 10.5 mac osx disc and i would need a faster proc. because it's only a G4 400 something MHZ and i will need something in the 600 MHZ range. so i am wondering if i can force the machine to install the upgrade anyway or is this just not possible?? or will the os just not work if i do find a way to do it?

Hi,

I am a new mac user. I have previously installed Parallels on my new macbook - but I've had quite a few problems with it so I'd like to completely remove it.

So it would great if you could help me out with the following questions;

1 - how do I completely uninstall XP from my Parallels system?

2 - how do I completely remove parallels from my mac?

3 - how do I install Bootcamp on my mac?

Thanks

P.s. I've had a look at some similar posts to this in the past but have been unsuccessful in implementing the suggestions - i.e. I don't have any files in the Documents/Parallels/ folder to delete to get rid of XP.

joemaran7, the proper way to get your question answered is to ask them one at a time. When you post 3 similar questions back to back to back we treat it as spamming our forum. No worries though, just a heads up for the future.

Hi,

I have been searching around several of the forum posts on this topic, but they have not really helped me so far - maybe just because of my very limited knowledge of Mac's.

Anyway - how do I completely remove Windows XP from my Parallel program on Mac? One suggestion said to delete the items in the Documents/Parallels/ folder - but I don't have anything in that folder.

Any suggestions would be brilliant.

Thanks

This is the last I've heard of this: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-10026033-37.html

The problem is enforcing the EULA when you have already purchased a licensed product. We'll see what happens.
