The other stuff in the post is to be viewed as simply text... I don't see an edit button to fix it... Hope this helps!

I have an Outlook 2003 User in our company who is unable to view screen shots
within the body of an email. The screen shots are replaced with image
placeholders, the little red x.

The solution below solves the problem temporarily, but then the problem
reoccurs about 2 or 3 weeks later. Is there another solution for this
problem, or does it just keep reoccuring because the Outlook temp folder gets
too large?

1-Locate the Outlook Temporary Items folder by opening the Registry and
locating
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Sec urity\OutlookSecureTempFolder
Navigate to the value of this Key. It should be something like:
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK3D\ where OLK3D is
some randomly generated string that always starts with OLK
2-Quit Outlook .
3-Delete the contents of the folder .
4-Launch Outlook.

Documents from a scanner are normally saved as image files, not as text files.
So you can't edit them as text files.
However there are softwares that dó edit textfiles from a scanner.
Mostly expensive and not easy to work with. (I know, I tried in the past, but gave up - retyping the text was a lot faster)

You can read more about it here.

Hi, I would be grateful if someone can assist me with the following question on Powerpoint 2003. I have a scanned image of an object which was originally saved in jpg format. I used a software known as Irfanview to convert the image to emf format and inserted it into a Powerpoint 2003 slide. After this, I had difficulty ungrouping the picture completely so that I can make editing changes to it such as adjusting the thickness of the lines or deleting relevant parts of the object. Would it be possible to advise me how to resolve this problem? Thank you and cheers.

Does anybody know how to turn off the smooth scrolling that happens if you press enter in the middle of a paragraph in a text box in power point 2003? I have managed to turn off the analogous feature in Word, but not yet in Power point.

Thanks,

imap+gmail+outlook=slow. You can set up gmail to use POP3, which is alot easier. Just set gmail to auto-archive messages you have downloaded. Then when you first try to set up gmail, don't press advanced settings. It'll find the POP server and (should) set it up automatically for you.

Hi all,
I recently started using outlook 2007 as i'm soon getting a iphone and wanted to sink wiht it. I made calenders and contacts in the personal folder. I have now set up my hotmail account using outlook connect. but it is a seperate folder on outlook. which means my calender and contacts are seperate from my emails. as my hotmail calender has no entries. is there any way of merging the 2? or sorting this out to just one account.

Also when outlook sends/recieves from hotmail (set to every few minutes) i dont get pop-up notifications of emails. I think this is because the hotmail account isn't the primary folders. An help will be appreciated

The remove watermark command does absolutely nothing in this document. Does anyone know another way, apart from copying and pasting all the text into another document.

Yes, I have found that. However there was actually a specific Line - Column choice from the previous versions of Excel 97-03 which you could quickly select and apply. I have looked through all the chart types and that particular chart type (line-column) does not appear to be a choice anymore in the 07 version. I have found a long and time consuming way to set it up, and have tried to save it as a Chart Template to save time. However the chart template does not re-capture all changes that I make as the User Defined would from the previous versions. Am I missing something?

I apoligize for not being more specific in the previous question... Any help would truley be appreciated.

I'm having issues with the sources and citation manager in Word 2007. I originally wasn't able to select anything in the Citations and Bibliography section of the references tab at all. The only solution I could find was to reinstall office. So I've now reinstalled it and can actually use the Citations section, but it can't find the citation styles apparently. I've double checked and they are there... but it won't respond to them. Can you help me out?
