What is the How-To Geek Bounty Program?

We all have great ideas for new software, but most of us don’t have the skills to write software ourselves. The How-To Geek recognizes this problem and wants to help fix it by sponsoring programmers to create open-source software based on great ideas that come from you, the reader.

How does this work?

• You post an idea on the forum
• We pick the ideas and agree to sponsor them.
• A talented programmer writes the software and collects the bounty.
• We write about the finished solution.

How much is the bounty?

The How-To Geek will donate $50 per week to the current bounty, and readers can donate towards a bounty as well.
