Flying Robots Used to Build Structures (Not Hunt Us Down)

We’ve shared various Quadrotor robot videos with you but we never expected to share one of the robots peacefully building a structure.

If you watch one of the previous videos we shared, it’s not too much of a stretch to envision a dystopian future with streets patrolled by flying robots. In the video above, however, European scientists demonstrate how the autonomous robots can be used to assemble a structure. Perhaps in a utopian future our robot overlords will be LEGO obsessed builders who construct elaborate luxury palaces for us.

Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson. You can follow him on if you'd like.
