Add Your Favorite Websites to the Web Apps Section in Google Chrome’s New Tab Page
Are you tired of constantly switching between the Most Visited Webpages and Web Apps sections in Google Chrome’s new tab page? Then you will definitely love this quick hack that lets you add your favorite websites to the Web Apps section for one stop browsing goodness.
Keep in mind that Chrome will not generate an icon for the newly created web apps, so they will be kind of sparse looking as shown below.

The icons will be sparse in the beginning, but I am sure they will eventually be able to either make the favicon show full-sized or allow the user to select an icon image.
Isn’t the the Smartest Bookmarks bar add on for Firefox better than this?
Google blew it with new tab page in recent versions of Chrome. It was much better before when you could pin sites on the page. Now you have to use the method described in the article.
