The Best of the DIY Tablet Stands [Unpluggd]

Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson. For $0.99 (US) you can swing into the Walmart and grab a decorative plate display thingamabob. Works great when you’re just wanting to view. Not so great when you want to interact. At least it does for me. I use it on my nightstand to watch video.

I use a composition notebook set on edge with the cover folded up (1 inch or so) as a ledge. Throw the bulk of the pages to the rear for the stability factor and you’re good to go, all for free with a recycled old journal.

I buy the $1 picture display thingamabob at the dollar store to use as the stand for my pan digital.
