DIY Monitor Hood Keeps Out Glare

Stop suffering through computer glare caused by bright sunlight or stark office lighting; this simple DIY monitor hood cuts out the glare.

DIY Photography shares a tutorial for crafting a monitor hood on the cheap. They used a sheet of black plastic from the craft store but you could also use black foam core if you wanted to further lower the cost. With the materials on hand the whole project should take under an hour–not bad to cut down on the glare (and potentially nosy coworkers).
