Rdio, a music streaming and suggest service, has opened up their entire catalog of 12 million songs to all subscribers–previously only premium subscribers had full access.
Rather than limit free users to a smaller selection of music Rdio opted to open up their catalog for all users. Now all free accounts have full access to the Rdio catalog but limited time to listen (indicated by a green bar on the top of the web interface). Premium accounts allow for unlimited web streaming, unlimited web/mobile streaming, and multiple users depending on the tier of service you subscribe to–plans start at $4.99 a month.
