gosh i miss that show. i love the two references nathan made to firefly in castle. sigh….
I knew literally nothing about the series when I saw the Serenity movie, and was so impressed and intrigued I had to go seek out the show. What a shame they couldn’t have made at least two or three season’s worth to develop the characters some more. Very special stuff.
Not the first time Fox has jumped the gun and closed down a show way too soon. Too bad in this case, particularly since Joss Whedon deserved the benefit of the doubt, given the successes of Buffy and Angel.
i love the show, I wish they continued it
If only Joss Whedon had the rights to further develop the show… *le’sigh* Oh well. I can still hope for printed goodness.
Miss the show… none of this is really “new”, especially for a show that’s been off the air for 9 years. Also: “The language used in the vers…” — should be ” ‘verse “, missing an “e”. And: “Zac Efron weht on to be…” — should be “went”, although this one could just be the unfortunate placement of a star in the background. :-p
Apparently it’s the first time a cancelled Tv Series that the networks decided was a flop has been made into a movie
MaatA, yuo poor nitpciking bastrad! It’s a terible sham poeple lik yuo have nohting mor to do wtih thier livs than luk for the tinniest misspeelings and putcuational eroors. Therr’s a life uot therr soemwhere wtih yuor nam on it adn it’s gonig to watse for lak of use. By the way, if you’d taken a minute fraction of the time you used looking for these (totally) inconsequential errors, you’d have seen that it WAS an ‘n’ and not an ‘h’ in the word “went”. All you had to do, you simple-minded fool, was compare that ‘h’ to the ‘h’ in the word “that’, one line down and two, oh-so-distant, word to the right… Get a life you troll.
I have the complete series – definitely time to watch it again after reading this. Thanks for the info, H-T- Geek.
(And then watch Serenity once more, of course.)
An amazingly executed show. The money making machine that is Fox didn’t have the brains to see it for the wonderful thing it was.
EGOT is a distinction in Hollywood that indicates the person has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award; the first person to achieve this prestige was composer Richard Rodgers in 1962.
