It’s easy to take the kind of widespread and ubiquitous internet access we have now for granted. Back in the mid 1990s, however, the internet was just starting to get mainstream attention.
In this video clip from a 1995 MTV News segment we get an entertaining glimpse at the way popular culture was coming to terms with an emerging consumer-accessible internet. The most entertaining part by far, seeing celebrities nearly 20 years younger aside, is the warnings they issue about the dark side of cyberspace. Clearly, they hadn’t seen anything yet.
