Although IKEAHacker reader Joost van der Wiel used a PELLO chair from IKEA, really the arm off any bent-wood style chair would work. You could even build it from scrap wood if you weren’t hung up on having a perfect steam-bent curve on the shoulder rest.

The most complicated part of the build is the follow-focus he made for his DSLR lens using a dowel rod and even that is pretty clear in the photos.
