Age of Fable Is a Fun Illustrated Text-Based Browser Game
If you’re a fan of old text-based games like MUDs and choose-your-own-adventure style books, Age of Fable is an illustrated text-based game you can play right in your browser.
Fire up the site and roll a character (or pick a randomly generated one to take for a spin) and you’re off in the world of Fable. It’s based off of the “gamebook” genre popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s; a type of choose-your-own-adventure style that had additional rules and player stats. You can play Age of Fable for free and even download the source code to create your own gamebook. Hit up the link below to take it for a spin and relive some gamebook awesomeness.

Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson. This is awesome!! ^_^
Very Interesting. On my first romp I got turned from a knight to an amazon woman and I got thrown into the seventh layer of hell by psycho clowns!!! Am I too sober to enjoy this fully?? O.o lol

Me like.
Thanks for this review of my game. I’m not currently adding to it, but I’m working on another online game, as well as a collection of fiction which is coming out in November. Some people might be interested in following my blog: http://teleleli.blogspot.com
