Spud Gunning Made Useful: Pneumatic Antenna Launchers
Whether you’re trying to hang Christmas lights, amateur radio antennas, or anything else you might want to hang from a high vantage point, this specially designed “spud gun” can get the job done.
Designed by amateur radio enthusiasts, the Pneumatic Antenna Launcher is quite a clever design as takes a standard spud gun design and modifies it to shoot tennis balls that are hooked to a high-speed fishing reel. Fire the gun and easily launch a tennis ball hundreds of feet with a strong fishing line attached, perfect for lofting your radio antenna, holiday decorations, or whatever else you’re trying to get up into a tree (and without involving a ladder or breaking your limbs in the process).
