Computer Case Desk Build Stashes CPU in Plain Sight
If you’re looking to declutter your workspace and give it a futuristic vibe that shows off your computing hardware, you’ll be hard pressed to top this custom built desk-as-computer-case setup.
Peter Brands, a Dutch case modding hobbyist, decided to take things to the next level by ditching his old tower-style case and building a desk that houses his entire PC. The end result is pretty impressive. He had a neighbor help him weld the case, glass custom cut for the surface, and with a careful arrangement of the internal components and some stylish case lighting he ended up with a desk that looks like it is right out of a sci-fi movie.
Hit up the link below to read about his build and get some ideas for your own designs.

That is awesome! I want one.
uhhuhuhhhuh… That has to be the coolest thing that I have ever seen….huuhhuuhhuuhh…
Anyone else see this and @ first think…..”Wow thats pretty damn cool” but then transition into “FOREVER ALONE”? haha
What would b better would be if he made holes close to the front corners and put speakers throught them.
@Irish_IT
Anyone with that kind of creative skill and the funds to pull it off is most likely not alone.
sickkkk!!!e
ThaT Could Be Marketed!
That NEEDS to be marketed!
No lan… Should be built into a removable draw\case
That’s great, what did it cost?
Fascinating!
logical , efficient use of space, completely hid the cpu and speakers well almost . the lights are a plus specially with the cpu under the desk top glass , just don’t get too comfortable close to the desktop or you might bang your knees against the cpu on the left or the drawer on the right that being said where are the speakers and with a system like that I’m sure he has a 5.1 audio system . next recommendation upgrade his mouse and keyboard to be more futuristic .
Once again job well done kudos to designer and people involved ;)
oh yes I left 1 thing out ,the con. if there’s 1 negative thing on this whole setup it would be the only 1 thing and again let me stress this might be a preference:
the wall supporting the desk !
major no no in my book , although we don’t plan to sit on the desk or even stand on it forbid that, we do have a tendency on leaning on the desk a lot or others leaning on the desk and the wall and screws and bolts can only take so much pressure of weight.
other than that we are go ! :P
You could take this concept further an house a music system into it as well. It look quite impressive with the lights displaying, but it would also be practical in terms of space usage within an office environment.
Holy mother..OMG! thats awesome!!!
This is awesome!!! This may change designs all together. He should patent the design!!! No kicking computer cases. Very smart design!
Ive seen people put their computers on the wall above a desk, with no case. All the components are mounted and spread out.
This is sexy, I dont like how it is mounted though. It would be nice if it could be moved. Imagine if you took it to work at an office job.
Go the whole hog and show your inner geek, make it into an LCARS clone ;)
Beautiful!!! Hope i can have this one XD
If you look closely, the CPU itself is not hidden. He still has a tower (bolted or welded) to the bottom of the desk on the left (this is where all the components really are). The stuff on the right is just some cool LED lighting (or perhaps reflection given the apparent semitry and the dimmer light appearance). It’s a cool idea, though. Right out of the original Tron movie.
Correction, I meant the tower (not CPU).
just one word: WANT!
its futuristic indeed, so how much is it going for Peter?
great stuff……

That is freaking amazing! I want one, that would be such a cool case to have.
I want that monitor setup? Are the side monitors smaller wide screens that are simply turned on their sides? What type of video card system would be required to drive that?
is that a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard?
I like that!
Very goood idea!
Come to thing about it, i have a glass table top that i don’t use…. that is really cool!
Don’t you have a hi-res pic?
