Homemade Water Rocket Is Cheap Low-altitude Fun
It’s Monday; if you’re lamenting another weekend past without a cool project then it’s time to add this inexpensive water rocket to your weekend project list.
Make magazine reader Cobbler built a water rocket based on the specs from the pages of Make vol. 5. In the above video he shows you how he built it as well as some test launches and then finally an on-board video of the flight in action. We challenge you to watch the video and not smile at how excited his young daughter is with the state of rocket launching in the cul-de-sac.

Jason Fitzpatrick is warranty-voiding DIYer and all around geek. When he's not documenting mods and hacks he's doing his best to make sure a generation of college students graduate knowing they should put their pants on one leg at a time and go on to greatness, just like Bruce Dickinson. You can follow him on Google+ if you'd like.

Cool!
See the curvature of the Earth? Don’t be so silly. If you were my neighbour doing that in the street, I’d call the police.

If my neigbour were doing this I would be providing the cold beer while he showed me how to make it!
