Stolen Camera Finder takes an interesting approach to locating your stolen camera, by looking for unique EXIF data in online photos.
The premise is straight forward: your camera stamps each photo with a unique serial number and that serial number appears in all photos that have not been sanitized. Stolen Camera Finder scans online photo sites looking for matches and, if found, alerts you. It’s a bit of a long shot and highly dependent on how many pictures Stolen Camera Finder has scanned (as well as whether or not the thief ever uploads photos) but if you’re trying to get an expensive DSLR back it might be your only hope.
